Job Summary
The Sponsor’s office manages workplace concerns including harassment allegations, conflicts, and employee grievances. To support these activities, the office uses a case management system (CMS) that captures structured case data used to generate reports, metrics, and insights that help improve workforce support processes and data quality.
The organization is transitioning from a largely manual reporting environment—where data must be exported and analyzed in Excel and Tableau—to a more advanced custom system with built-in dashboards and reporting capabilities. The Data Analyst / Business Process Analyst will support this transition by extracting and analyzing case data, developing metrics and infographics, gathering user requirements, and recommending improvements to reporting, processes, and knowledge management practices.

This job requires an existing Top Secret Clearance and Polygraph.
Responsibilities and Duties
Extract raw case data from the case management system (CMS) and prepare CSV exports for analysis.
Perform data cleaning and validation in Excel to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and discrepancies in system data.
Analyze case data to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations that support leadership decision-making and program evaluation.
Design and produce reports, dashboards, and infographics using Excel and Tableau in accordance with Sponsor requirements.
Gather and document user requirements from Sponsor personnel and recommend enhancements to system functionality and reporting capabilities.
Coordinate with Sponsor developers to ensure a clear understanding of business processes, workflow requirements, and system enhancements.
Monitor the effectiveness of system reporting functions and recommend improvements to reporting, analytics, and data usability.
Evaluate the organization’s knowledge management practices, propose best practices, and support implementation and ongoing maintenance.
Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and user guides.
Create and maintain business process maps using Business Process Mapping Notation (BPMN).
Identify opportunities to improve manual and automated processes, and present recommendations to the Sponsor Program Manager.
Conduct new employee onboarding briefings, system training, and ongoing guidance for staff on proper system usage and case documentation procedures.

- Existing Clearance Required: Active Top Secret SCI with Poly
Experience using Excel and Tableau for data analysis, including advanced formulas and basic scripting or coding to extend platform capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to create clear, informative reports and infographics following fundamental data visualization and graphic design best practices.
Experience developing technical requirements, user stories, and workflow documentation for application or system development.
Experience providing briefings, training, and instructional materials for users, including onboarding and system usage guidance.
Experience conducting business process analysis to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and integration.
Experience defining, implementing, and communicating metrics-driven process improvements validated by workforce feedback.
Experience establishing or improving knowledge management practices, including documentation standards, information organization, and knowledge sharing processes.
Desired
Experience supporting or working with case management or workflow management systems.
Experience working with data quality improvement and data governance initiatives.
Familiarity with dashboard development and reporting automation.
Experience collaborating with software development teams during system enhancement or implementation efforts.
Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience supporting organizational change or system transitions, particularly when moving from manual reporting processes to automated analytics environments.
